Tuesday Tidbit: Chocolate Covered Pretzels!

written by Kate H.

Get creative tonight! Whether you’re babysitting kids before they go out for the big night or are staying in and hanging with your friends and need something to do, these pretzels are for you. I have provided a recipe below, but I challenge you to open your pantry and create something of your own using the ingredients you already have! That’s what I did and it was so much fun!

For this recipe you will only need three ingredients! The recipe only yields 18 pretzels so feel free to double, triple or even quadruple it because you and your friends will love these! They are super simple, super cute, and super delicious. It’s a perfect combination of salty and sweet for you to enjoy on this Halloween night!

Chocolate Covered Pretzels:

18 Pretzels (you could use big, small, or even pretzel sticks)

1 block of White chocolate bark

Halloween sprinkles

(You will need parchment paper as well)

Directions:

1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Melt your white chocolate in 30 second increments in the microwave, stirring after each round.

3. Once your chocolate is smooth, you may begin dipping the tops of your pretzels into the chocolate. Make sure to let the excess drip before transferring them to your baking sheet.

4. Place each pretzel on the baking sheet. (You may want to begin step 5 after you dip every few pretzels because you want the sprinkles to stick before the chocolate sets up!)

5. Now comes the fun! Use whatever sprinkles or Halloween decorations you would like to decorate your pretzels. Don’t worry about the excess sprinkles. They will come right off once they have cooled. Be creative!

6. Once you have finished assembling, place the sheet in the refrigerator for about a half an hour or until the chocolate sets up.

7. Enjoy! Happy Halloween!
