Activities for Thanksgiving Break

written by Emma Bartley

Next week, there is finally time to relax and spend time with your family. But what do you do with all your extra time? Here are some fun and easy things to do with your family over Thanksgiving Break!

Watch a movie! There are fun family movies out right now at the movie theater! If you can’t go to the movie theater, you can still get some popcorn, dim the lights, and watch a movie at home.

Play board games! Board games always turn into an exciting competition between family members. My personal favorites are Candy Land and Hedbanz!

Do a puzzle! If you want something that is calmer, a puzzle is just for you! I love doing puzzles with my mom and grandma over the break.

Go shopping on Black Friday! If you love to shop, you could go shopping on Black Friday for some awesome deals! I always love shopping with my grandmother, who is always happy to shop ’til she drops!

Make food and desserts together! My favorites are Buckeyes and Snickerdoodles.

Rake leaves! Although it sounds a lot of work, it can actually be a lot of fun! Especially when you are working with your family. Plus, at the very end, you can jump in the leaves!

Holiday Light Displays! Most cities have a holiday light display for Christmas. You can drive through and see Christmas lights used to make beautiful sculptures!

Have a wonderful break relaxing and having fun with your family!
