Do you consider yourself a creative person? Do you want to utilize your creativity to help others or make a difference? Here are some creative jobs that you can consider for later in life!

Graphic Designer

Graphic designers communicate ideas for commercial or promotional purposes. By using words, images, and symbols, graphic designers create posters, logos, packaging, and similar products. They make work for an art director (see below for more info!) or for a client directly. They also work closely with people in advertising and marketing.

Art Teacher

If you love art AND love working with kids, this might be a job you want to consider! Art teachers work to bring knowledge of artistic concepts to students in either elementary school, high school, or college.

An art teacher might teach about drawing, painting, ceramics, or design. They assist students in cultivating their creativity and discovering what they love in art.

Music Therapist

Music therapy is a great way to combine the arts with helping others. Music therapists provide services for both adults and children with different kinds of disorders and disabilities. They use music as a therapeutic tool. A music therapist might provide treatment including singing to, creating, or listening to music.

A music therapist should be someone who has a genuine desire to help others!

Fashion Designer

If you love clothes, this is the job for you! Fashion designers create clothing, accessories, and footwear. They get to choose the colors, fabrics, and patterns of the clothing that have both aesthetic and practical appeal. They can develop their own style or alter fashion trends. They also may oversee the production of clothing, ensuring that workers follow the designs.

Writer

If you love creative writing in English class, this might interest you! Writers compose materials for publications, films and TV shows, advertisements, and more. Writers don’t just write novels; they can write scripts, blogs, and other things as well! Writers must be good at brainstorming ideas. Some examples of writers are screenwriters, biographers, playwrights, novelists, and bloggers!

Video Game Designer

What’s your favorite video game? Just think; someone designed that! Video game designers first create a concept and draft what they think it would look like. At this point, they address details like audience, requirements, and budgets. Then they have the ability to make that concept come alive! They create plots and storylines, characters, maps, and methods for winning the game.

There are many types of video game designers that will focus on one particular aspect of gameplay. Some are testers and experiment with coding on the computer. Others are environmental designers, who work on the scenarios presented in the game. There are a lot of different options in being a video game designer!

Public Relations Specialists

Public relations specialists create and maintain a public image for the organization they are representing. They design media to shape public perception of their organization and to increase awareness about what their organization does.

A public relations specialist should be an artistic person that is also interested in how society thinks about and views products.

Interior Designer

Do you love HGTV? That channel is all about interior design! Interior designers plan and furnish homes and other spaces. They consider aesthetics, function, and safety of each space, as well as taking into account the needs of the client and the client’s budget.

Interior Designers create a plan to specify certain elements, like furniture of lighting fixtures. The plan also estimates the cost and timing of the project.

Art Directors

Art directors are responsible for the images and visual style in media like magazines, newspapers, and movie and TV productions. They create the overall design and direct others who develop the artwork and layouts for the media. They also might generate ideas to present to their client or commission others, like photographers or artists, to help on their projects.

An art director must be a good leader that is able to unify everyone to see the same vision.
