Malkia is FIERCE!!

Almost two years ago, I interviewed a girl named Malkia (you can read about it here!). At that time, she had been in the US for one year, coming from Rwanda as a refugee before starting high school in her new country. During the interview, she kept saying over and over that she wanted to go to college. I left the interview knowing that I wanted to help her reach that goal in any way that I could. And so, P.A.V.E. the Way was born…

Now, after two years, Malkia just received some very exciting news! She has been awarded the prestigious Benjamin Templeton Full Tuition Scholarship at Hanover College. This is one of only 14 full tuition scholarships given in the entire admitted class! We are so excited for Malkia and amazed at everything she has accomplished; we cannot wait to see what she does in the future.

This girl is the definition of FIERCE!
